About Our Podcast

Delaney McCraney has been steeped in organized religion since she can remember. She was raised in Mormonism, dove deep into evangelicalism, attended a Nazarene college, moved toward non-faith, and finally came to an understanding of The Great News… and along the way she realized: most “Christians” have a very shallow, if any, understanding of the Bible and its context.

Delaney is the daughter of Shawn McCraney, notorious self-taught independent theologian who founded CULT, and The Great News Network. Shawn teamed up with Delaney to discuss the Bible as she reads and questions it for the first time on her own.

Launched in 2023, the I Don’t Get The Bible Podcast is a series which offers a fresh and approachable exploration of the Bible, aiming to make scripture accessible and understandable for everyone, without a prioritization on tradition or organized perspectives. Each episode features Shawn and Delaney engaging in candid discussions, addressing common questions, and demystifying complex biblical concepts from the perspective of The Great News.
